Equal Earth App Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Equal Earth application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It describes the app's handling of information separately from purchases, browsing, and support requests on the WAHUP website.

Information in the app

Equal Earth works offline and does not require an account. The app does not collect or transmit your map designs, searches, country selections, game activity, or usage information to us. It has no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party networking SDKs. It does not request your location, contacts, camera, or microphone.

Your country arrangements and custom maps are stored locally on your device. Saved designs can include the titles, subtitles, footers, legend labels, country colors, and other map settings you enter. Creation and modification dates are saved with designs so the app can organize your map library. The app uses its private preferences storage to remember country arrangements.

The app does not provide an online account or an automatic cloud synchronization service. Device backups and any file synchronization service you choose are controlled by your device settings and that service's policies.

Files you choose to import or export

Equal Earth can import map and layout JSON files you select. It reads those files on your device to restore editable designs or arrangements.

When you export a PNG image or editable JSON design, you choose the destination using your device's file controls. The exported file contains the map content and settings needed for that export. A JSON design also contains local design identifiers and creation and modification dates. If you save or share a file through another application or a cloud storage provider, that provider handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Equal Earth does not automatically send a copy to us.

Retention and your choices

Saved maps and arrangements remain on your device until you remove their local data. Exported files remain in the locations you choose until you delete them. Your backup service may retain copies according to your backup settings. You can remove exported files using Files on iPhone or iPad, or Finder on Mac. Contact support if you need help clearing the app's local saved data.

Because we do not receive or keep your app designs or app activity, we do not have a server-side copy of that information to retrieve, sell, share, or delete.

External websites and support

The app includes optional links to support, privacy information, and map source references. Opening a link takes you to an external website. That website may process information such as your IP address or browser data and may use cookies under its own policy.

If you contact us through the WAHUP website, we receive the information you choose to send so we can respond to your request. Do not include private map text or files unless you want to share them with support. Website browsing, commerce, and support communications are described in the WAHUP website privacy policy.

Changes and contact

If the app's information practices change, this policy will be updated with a new date.
